A print label is the advertisement used to identify a brand generally placed in the center back neck . They can also serve to include all pertinent garment details including size/ care and content details.
They can be printed on a variety of substrates depending on the look of the brand from natural cotton to polyester satin/ damask/ etc.
Applications: A print label provides brand identity to the user or buyer. It is the way the consumer will identify brands that they feel have a strong presence and which they prefer to seek out at retail. It can contain all important details like country of origin/size/care and content but can be as simple as the brand logo only.
Common Pitfalls: Artwork not clearly defined. Care and content labels must be included in garments as well as required by law so if this label doesn’t have this information, another print label will be required, generally placed in the side seam.
